At the end of May 2018 colleagues from the IT Service’s Training and Documentation Team will be running some workshops in The Sir Duncan Rice Library which are designed to help taught postgraduates with many of the common formatting problems and frustrations that can arise as they write their dissertations or projects in Microsoft Word.
Come to one of the classes to ensure you start this important piece of work with the skills to make the whole process as easy as possible.
This course will enable participants to create and manipulate long documents effectively by using the functions in Word 2013. By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Define and use an appropriate template
- Understand and modify Inbuilt Styles
- Apply multi-level numbering
- Insert Section Breaks
- Insert page Numbers
- Use Captions for images/tables
- Create Cross-References
