The Scopus database at http://www.scopus.com/ introduced a new streamlined interface over the weekend:
- It is now more action driven – some items/options only appear active when the user has performed a search e.g. the Export option will only become available when the user has selected results to export
- The re-design is described as “enhancing readability”
- There’s much more detail available from a Scopus blog post at http://blog.scopus.com/product-releases but most current users of the database (one of the heaviest used databases that we subscribe to) will continue to use the database with little difficulty – you just need to adjust to the new look!
Library workshops will include information on the new search interface where relevant – more information on our free workshops for February and March is available in an earlier post at https://aberdeenunilib.wordpress.com/2014/01/29/library-workshops-places-still-available-on-our-free-library-workshops/
If you have any queries or difficulties with the new interface library staff will be happy to help.
