MovePlan are the University’s appointed move managers for the New Library Project, and will oversee the planning and delivery of the physical relocation of stock to the new Library, including management of the removal contractor onsite.
MovePlan’s onsite managers are Amanda Brown and Shirley Tait. Shirley has worked with MovePlan for 4 years and has previous move experience within the education sector, successfully relocating Queen Margaret University to their new site in Musselburgh, Edinburgh. Amanda joined MovePlan in 2005 and has gained a wealth of experience in relocating colleges, universities and their libraries, as well as public sector organisations across Scotland. Originally hailing from ‘The Broch’, Amanda is delighted to be back amongst the Doric‐speaking community, whilst Shirley is wondering just how cold it can actually get in Aberdeen!
Amanda and Shirley are currently working on the tender specification for removal contractors with senior managers in Library & Historic Collections.
