Problems with Web of Science/Knowledge upgrade resolved

Thomson Reuters have confirmed that the server issues affecting some users following the Web of Science/Web of Knowledge upgrade at the weekend are now resolved. Apologies to users for the inconvenience experienced at that time.

Web of Science upgrade

Problems have been experienced with  the Web of Science/Knowledge server following the upgrade over the weekend. You may receive messages reporting errors. Thomson Reuters are working urgently to resolve these issues and apologise for the inconvenience to users as a result.

MAINTENANCE: Web of Knowledge upgrade

WoK is undergoing an upgrade maintenance from Sunday 12 Jan 1400 GMT until Monday 13 Jan 0200 GMT, resulting in intermittent access.

Advisory alert from Thomson Reuters: “Please be advised that Web of Knowledge will release a new look and feel [‘Next Generation of Web of Science’]. This involves an upgrade maintenance… during which time Web of Knowledge may not be available intermittently during that period. We apologize for any interruption this may cause.”

MAINTENANCE: interruption to Web of Knowledge service

Scheduled maintenance on Web of Knowledge will begin on Friday August 23, 2013 at 0900 BST and ending by Friday August 23, 2013 at 1900 BST.

Web of Knowledge may not be available during the above times. Thomson Reuters would like to apologise for any interruption this may cause.

UPDATE: Web of Knowledge – new features

Following Sunday’s upgrade to the Web of Knowledge platform new features are available for to support more in-depth searching. There’s now an improved Subject Area/Category search available in Advanced Search mode and left hand truncation in the Topic and Title fields. Enhancements in data collection have resulted in more complete cited reference data being presented.  An overview of the new options is available at https://www.brainshark.com/thomsonscientific/newfeat_wok5_6_en
