Web of Science upgrade

Problems have been experienced with  the Web of Science/Knowledge server following the upgrade over the weekend. You may receive messages reporting errors. Thomson Reuters are working urgently to resolve these issues and apologise for the inconvenience to users as a result.

MAINTENANCE: Dawsonera web service (Saturday 8 December 2012)

There will be a scheduled downtime for update work to the dawsonera web service between 10am and 6pm on Saturday 8th December 2012. The database suppliers apologise in advance for any disruption caused by this work.

SERVICE DISRUPTION: Scopus and ScienceDirect

A planned upgrade to SciVerse Scopus and ScienceDirect is planned from 12:30PM GMT Saturday, March 17th to 1:30 AM Sunday, March 18th 2012. Temporary service disruptions may occur while accessing these databases. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Ejournals – shiny new platforms

Over the coming weekend, Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 August, two major suppliers of journals will be upgrading their platforms:

SpringerLink will launch their new system on Saturday 7 August. The system has been available in beta test for some time but will now go live. For a preview see http://beta.springerlink.com/default.aspx

Wiley introduce their new Wiley Online Library service to replace the current Wiley Interscience platform. This is a major transition and the service will be unavailable from 08.00 Sat 7 August  until the new service goes live at 16.00 on Sunday 8 August.
